Poppies Pre-School Nursery based in Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire offers exceptionally high quality childcare in a safe, stimulating and caring environment where children can play, grow and learn.
We are advocates of outdoor play and learning. During the pandemic we adapted and enhanced our outdoor environment so that we could spend the majority of our day playing and learning in the outdoors. Our children have thrived in nature so we intend to continue with this approach going forward.
Poppies continues to provide an excellent service and has recently achieved excellence in all areas inspected by Care Inspectorate.

We have great news to share with you all – The Nursery World Awards took place in September 2021 and the wonderful book, ‘Putting Storytelling at the Heart of Early Childhood Practice’ won the top prize in it’s category. We are so proud that Poppies contributed to this book and Sharon was with the other authors and the editors to collect the award in London in September 2021.
